Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They let a website remember things between requests — such as whether you are signed in. Similar technologies (like local storage) work the same way and are covered by this policy.

Fursa is deliberately light on cookies. We use what the service needs to function, plus one set for measuring how the site is used:

• __fursa_session — a strictly necessary, httpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in after you authenticate. It cannot be read by page scripts and is not used for tracking.
• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers whether you are using the site in English or French so your language choice persists.
• Firebase Authentication cookies — set by Google Firebase during sign-in to establish and secure your session.
• _ga and _ga_<id> — set by Google Analytics to count visits and distinguish one browser from another so a single person is not counted repeatedly. They hold a randomly generated identifier, not your name or email, and expire after two years. They are analytics cookies rather than strictly necessary ones: blocking them costs you nothing and costs us only the count.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies above are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in and using account features. Guidance for managing cookies is available in your browser's help pages.

This policy was updated on 18 August 2026 to add Google Analytics and the two cookies it sets. If we introduce further cookies we will update this policy again, and where consent is required we will ask for it first.
